Research by Town My Gt Grandmother,Annie Tolson Auty(nee Gibson) ,who married James Auty Dec 17th 1870,St Mary’s Church,Woodkirk,East Ardsley

My Gt Grandmother,Annie Tolson Auty(nee Gibson) ,who married James Auty Dec 17th 1870,St Mary’s Church,Woodkirk,East Ardsley, was a Primitive Methodist preacher .She travelled to America and wrote a book called “The Echo from America or Across the Waters –Mrs Auty’s voyages and Labours in America. She also had a Free Methodist chapel built on Hill Top,West Ardsley in 1870, which was recently converted to a house (I had an e-mail from the man who did the conversion and he had been informed the chapel was built for Mrs Auty who was desperate to entice the drinkers from the pub opposite) I have the first edition of her biography “Annie Tolson the Yorkshire & Lancashire Revivalist”published in 1867,but would love to find the 4th edition published after her marriage to James Auty, which tells of her later voyages to America ,she was preaching in Kansas in 1881,Ohio & New York in 1883.I have tried everything I know to find a copy but no look, any help much appreciated Sandra Heppenstall
