found missing name
at last found Annie Gibson Tolson's husband's first name - he was called BenjaminTolson;she later married John Auty, who had previously been married to someone also called Annie, isn't it good when the fog clears?
I have recently found a connection to the Tolson family in another Auty line. I wonder if there is a connection between these families.

Correction needed,Annie Gibson TOLSON married JAMES AUTY,not JOHN; James's first wife (also called Annie) had just died,(I think in childbirth)& Annies husband Benjamin TOLSON had gone to Pennsylvania to work in a Steelworks;she applied for a divorce in 1869 on the grounds of his adultery,I have the divorce application copy which states "dismissed 1873" not sure what that means, but Annie had already re-married by then, saying she was a widow!Marriage Dec 17th 1870 St Mary's Woodkirk
